Field notes 001: why a cabin
A short note on what this site is, why it looks the way it does, and what it's for.
This site is built like a cabin in a forest, and that's not an accident.
The dark green outside (the landing, the life page) is the woods. The warm paper you're reading right now is the inside: a lit room where the long-form writing lives. You walk in from the dark to read. That's the whole design, and it's how I think about the work too. The noise stays outside; the focus happens in the quiet room.
Two kinds of writing will show up here. Technical pieces are deep dives into detection engineering, OT security, and the tooling I build in the open. Dispatches are short ones like this: notes from rides, from race weekends, from wherever the week went.
No analytics beyond the basics, no pop-ups, no newsletter modal sliding in at 40% scroll. Just the writing, an RSS feed for the people who still use one (respect), and a couple of things hidden around the site for the curious.
